This site is public and is open to all those interested in mineralogy and mineral collecting.
It is intended to be a global meeting place for all persons interested in these topics. It is open to all. There is no requirement or approval required for membership other than an interest in mineralogy and mineral collecting.
The only rules are that you keep your content focused on these topics - no politics, abuse, personal attacks, or flaming - and no spam!
We do ask that when you join that you use your full name (first and last) and that you provide your location (city and state).
Postings of mineral specimens wanted or offered for sale or trade are allowed in the Mineral Specimen Marketplace forum and on members personal pages only. Jewelry advertising is prohibited. Please keep them to a reasonable length and a reasonable frequency (no repeat or serial postings of the same information).

The Rockhounds Mailing List at Drizzle - takes you to the new Ning page for the original Rockhounds Mailing List. I started the list in 1993 and it is now admirably run by others. A serious and great group of people. Highly recommended!
